The Main House features 2000 sq feet of living space. There is extensive use of skylights, French doors and floor to ceiling windows throughout which provide lots of natural light and access to the expansive decks from every room and take advantage of the peaceful, picturesque surroundings.
There are wood floors on the entire main floor and carpet in the downstairs office. Throughout the home, you will find unique touches in addition to the conventional yet rustic west coast style of construction. These include things such as antique appliances and fixtures, as well as antique and custom ordered stained glass windows and doors.
The dining area and kitchen are located at one end of the home. The dining area is complemented with a wood stove in a brick surround hearth, has wrap around windows, and French doors leading to the front and rear deck. On the rear deck there is a large brick BBQ equipped with a built-in commercial quality propane grill as well as an antique wood fired cook stove.
The kitchen is well appointed with extensive solid wood cabinetry in a cherry wood finish. The center island has suspended overhead cabinets, a propane cook top stove, and a sit down counter. In addition to a full complement of modern appliances is a big antique wood fired oven and stove which is functional as well as unique.
The living room is situated in the middle of the home, and separates the kitchen and eating areas from the master suite and bath. Features of this room include the brick fireplace and French doors out to the deck.
The master suite is a generous size. It features a floor to ceiling brick fireplace with insert, a beautiful stained glass window above the bed and a built-in entertainment system that accommodates a 60-inch big screen TV. The ensuite is equipped with an extra large tub, separate oversized shower and double basins.
The main level also has one additional bedroom with a private entrance as well as a 3-piece bath fitted with an antique ball and claw tub. The office downstairs is one large finished room with a 2-piece bath. Surrounding the home is approximately 4000 sq. ft. of multi level decking, - the immediate area around the house and entranceways are covered - the balance of the decks are open. A large number of planter boxes and gardens have been incorporated throughout the decks in addition to Jim's outdoor kitchen.
